A new perspective

{via kraft & mint}

Today I went to an Easter Catholic Mass.
Though I was born into a Catholic country and family, I am not Catholic, but I was there for a friend whose confirmation was today.

There are many things about what took place in that mass that I could elaborate on, but I will only touch on something the priest said: it is easy to forget the blessings that are right in front of us. Food, shelter, friends, family. And if we overlook what's in plain sight, how much more do we take for granted the blessing of our faith that we cannot see?

Tonight I was reminded that we have won. Jesus conquered death and his love, power, and grace are more alive than ever in me, giving me a new perspective that I cannot overlook.

It is finished, friends. Rejoice because He is alive. He is risen.

Happy Easter.
