Friday Roundup

{via Nike}

I don't remember exactly when I began running, but I haven't stopped since I started, and all this time me and the road/trail have had a beautiful love affair, and as anyone who's ever been in love understands, it's not love if it doesn't change you.

A few years ago the thought of running a race would have been unthinkable, and if you've followed this blog long enough, you may remember that one time I fractured my foot training, but quitters don't run, and runners don't quit, so I'm training again for my first half marathon.

My goal is to finish and not get injured, and to be honest I am a little scared, but the best parts of life are beyond our comfort zone, past the fear, in that place where we find out what we're really made of.

So there's only one thing to do. Run.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Enjoy your weekend!

P.S. Holy cow, it's May already!
