Friday Roundup

I shared this picture on {{Instagram}} last week about a project I'm working on. That's my home office, and that right there, is what brainstorming used to look like before it became pinspiration. I love Pinterest as much as the next girl, and I find it a great tool in my line of work, but looking for inspiration elsewhere - from the outdoors to catalogs - always helps me find the key to making things uniquely my own.

Lately I am more inspired by people like my husband, whose trained Architect eye comes in handy when I find myself stuck, and friends like Les, who has me itching for color. There's also a special place in heaven for people who help you move couches down a flight of stairs. XOXO to you!

My point is that we are better in community, and in all the going minimal I have going on, I have found more space and more time for people, for talking, for meeting, for building, and listening. I have less but I am more full. My friend Steph calls it "trimming the fat", getting rid of the fluff and getting to the good meaty stuff where the substance is.

Less stuff, less busy, less clutter. More time, more growth, more meaningful relationships. I think we are on to something here.

Happy Easter weekend!

And that's it for this week. I had a sick kid. Have you ever tried to read with a sick kid on your lap? Yeah, me neither.
