This ordinary life
Would you look at those trees!!!
This fall has my heart, I mean the crisp cool air, the crunchy leaves, wool sweaters and leather? Yes please, and thank you.
If I seem over enthusiastic is because I have been practicing being grateful, for every good thing that happens, for every day I get to kiss my husband goodnight, for every leaf that falls from those trees, for the friends that sustain me in prayer, for my mom and dad whom I will get to see soon, I am thankful. And you know what? The more I am grateful, the more I am happy. I am not trying to minimize the crappy stuff that happens, I am just being specially aware of all the good things that are so often overlooked, embracing the things and people that the Lord puts in front of me daily.
Go ahead, give it a go.
Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. - Romans 12: 1-2 (The Message)
