Of hope and a future
Maybe 80 degrees seems normal where you are, but we don't get many nights when we can be outside at 8 PM, in shorts, without freezing our butts off. So tonight we grabbed food, a blanket, and a bottle of sparkling lemonade, and we headed to the park for a picnic dinner. We ate and enjoyed the weather, but we mainly spent time having an ernest talk about the last month.
I love that we can be honest with each other, and in love, tell it like it is, comparing notes of our prayers just to realize that our God has been listening all along. Whatever plans He has, we are on board, all in, wherever He leads, we trust in His promise of hope and a future.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
